Rainer Birkenbach, born in 1968, has served as Executive Vice President Research and Development since 1998. He holds a 'Diplom' (Master of Science) from the Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Saarbrücken where he studied Electrical Engineering from 1989 to 1994.
Before he entered university, Mr. Birkenbach worked for Deutsche Telekom. He began his career as a software engineer at Brainlab in 1994, where he held the position of Director Research and Development from 1996 through 1997. | |
