Touchless registration with z-touch®

Patient registration is crucial for precise ENT navigation. z-touch® provides a unique combination of accuracy, reliability and convenience, for performing quick, effortless registration without masks or headsets. The z-touch is a wireless handheld laser device that projects numerous virtual points onto the patient’s surface anatomy. These virtual markers are detected by the Brainlab ENT navigation system and a precise registration is calculated in seconds. This technology eliminates the need for diagnostic re-scans used for registration purposes.

Fast and easy calibration of existing instruments

Brainlab adapter clamps enable the integration of virtually any instrument into the procedure, such as Blakesley forceps, suction, microdebriders and curettes. The instrument tip calibration, including diameter and vector, is done within seconds in the Brainlab ENT navigation software without using any footswitches or drop down menus. The universal integration of existing instruments reduces the need for disposable items for ENT navigation.
