ExacTrac Dynamic – A new dimension in patient positioning and monitoring

Indication-Specific Radiosurgery Treatment Planning Software
Brainlab will also present the Elements software portfolio, composed of indication-specific software applications for cranial, spine and multiple brain metastases radiosurgery. All Elements are designed to streamline and expedite the radiosurgery treatment planning process and include efficient contouring and fusion tools to ensure fast and complete workflows for SRS treatments. Highly automated, Elements enable both expert and less experienced users to achieve the same consistent plan quality.
While each Elements application has the common goal of quick planning, sparing organs at risk, and creating highly conformal and steep doses, each one is specifically tailored to the unique needs of the indication.
Multiple Brain Mets SRS utilizes a dedicated algorithm to treat multiple lesions with a single isocenter that guarantees target coverage while optimizing MLC apertures for conformity and steep dose gradient. With features such as knowledge-based anatomical segmentation, MRI distortion correction, automatic adaptive dose grid, and an isodose line prescription option, users can rapidly create plans adapted to the specific needs of every patient.
Cranial SRS is VMAT planning optimized for radiosurgery of arteriovenous malformation (AVM), pituitary adenoma, vestibular schwannoma, meningioma, and large metastases. High plan quality can be achieved by leveraging a 4Pi optimization algorithm and clinically-generated controls that unite all the options and benefits demanded by benign indications.
Spine SRS offers clinical efficiency for both treatment planning and delivery, addressing the current challenges in spine radiosurgery. The software provides improved clinical efficiency through highly automated workflows for spine curvature correction, consortium consensus PTV definition, and Monte Carlo dose plan optimization.
In combination with Elements, the room-based ExacTrac Patient Positioning and Monitoring system allows for highly accurate monitoring of patient motion and internal anatomical shifts during treatment, at any table position, even while the treatment beam is on.
SRS Contouring Elements
Intuitive to learn and use, these pre-planning tools are optimized and tailored for physicians. Contouring Elements can be chosen à la carte and provide unique MR-based automatic segmentation that processes multiple MR sequences. Among these are Anatomical Mapping, which labels all tissue classes of MR datasets to identify organs at risk, Cranial Distortion Correction and Spine Curvature Correction for dataset co-registration using Image Fusion, and Smartbrush, which delineates tumors.
Brainlab Elements pre-planning tools are now also compatible with Leksell GammaPlan. Utilizing Brainlab Elements together with Leksell GammaPlan gives Leksell Gamma Knife users even more tools to elevate radiosurgical planning parameters from geometrical to functional.
Elements Contrast Clearance Analysis
Contrast Clearance Analysis is an MRI methodology to support treatment assessment and has been developed in collaboration with Sheba Medical Center in Tel Aviv.
Elements Contrast Clearance Analysis supports ongoing treatment evaluation by depicting contrast clearance and accumulation in the brain in high resolution. The software analyzes MR images to differentiate regions of high vascular activity from regions with reduced activity to provide additional insight into the effects of cranial tumor treatments.
