Job Description

Our passionate platforms team develops the future Brainlab image guide surgery and digital O.R. hardware portfolio. These innovative medical devices offer our customers easy access to the Brainlab software capabilities of today and tomorrow.

As a Project Engineer you will be part of our motivated team and have the opportunity to contribute and develop your expertise by participating in our development projects. Your focus will be the qualification and integration of the latest computer, display and tracking technology hardware into our medical devices. Market researches, selection and qualification of new components and a close cooperation with our external development partners characterize your work.

Typical areas of your responsibility are:

  • product requirements engineering
  • coordination of internal and external product development activities
  • definition and review of technical concepts
  • set-up of prototypes and qualification of product components
  • definition and execution of verification tests
  • creation of the medical device product documentation
  • manage small projects

In this interesting position you work at the interface between the internal development team, the subject experts from various other departments, external development partners, suppliers and test houses.


  • passion for innovative high-tech products and for technological advance
  • university degree in computer science, electrical engineering, medical engineering, physics or other natural science or comparable work experience
  • strong technical skills and in particular passion for computer technology
  • experience in project work and pleasure of being part of an international team
  • analytical mindset and creativity to develop reliable solutions
  • excellent communication skills in English and German
