(Advanced) Software Engineer - Intraoperative Imaging / Ultrasound

Our Intraoperative Imaging / Ultrasound R&D team in Munich is looking for an (Advanced) Software Engineer. You will be working within a newly established team with the focus of applying modern ultrasound imaging for enhancing surgical and interventional procedures.

Your work will impact the complete development cycle of medical devices, from the inception of new concepts over to their implementation up to the clinical assessment of the performance of the resulting device.

In your role, you will be part of a diverse team of hardware and software experts, creating advanced clinical application software for the integration and (3D-)visualization of intraoperative imaging data in novel solutions for clinical decision-making. This includes the application of deep learning (AI) strategies for medical ultrasound systems, from the front-end to advanced image processing.

Your contribution will impact clinical procedures in hospitals around the world, making them safer, more effective, and ultimately enable better clinical outcomes.


  • education in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent working experience
  • solid experience with modern C++ development
  • preferably you have experience in the fields of medical imaging (ultrasound) and DICOM, 3-D visualization and network communication
  • strong analytical skills and willingness to work in a complex software environment
  • profound communication skills for intensive collaboration with other software engineers and UI designers
  • you enjoy being part of a high-skilled, multidisciplinary team and make a difference with your code every day
  • fluent English skills, eagerness to learn German and ability to communicate with colleagues from all around the world and different areas of specialty
