Clinical Research Consultant

We are seeking for a highly motivated Clinical Research Consultant with focus on Mixed Reality and 5G technology. This position is embedded into the “Giga for Health: 5G Medizincampus NRW” project. This medical campus, located at the Universitätsklinik Düsseldorf, will be the first 5G medical campus in Europe. Within this project it will be investigated how 5G technology can contribute to an improved patient care and how it can ultimately save lives. Your work place will be in Düsseldorf. This position will be permanent and is not limited to the duration of the project.

As a Clinical Research Consultant your main tasks will include:

  • Integration of Brainlab software and hardware into IT infrastructure at Uniklinikum Düsseldorf
  • Educate and train physicians and hospital personnel at Uniklinikum Düsseldorf in using Mixed Reality and Brainlab software applications
  • Evaluate clinical benefits and performance of Mixed Reality solutions for different use cases Identify current limitations and clinical needs that can be addressed and improved by using 5G technology and provide feedback for software improvements
  • Support visits of interested hospitals from NRW to introduce Mixed Reality and 5G technology and demonstrate the potential of these technologies in a clinical setup
  • Document research activities and project progress
  • Support scientific studies and preparation of manuscript for publication
  • Work closely with Product Management and R&D, both located in Munich



  • Preferably you have completed studies in the field of (Biomedical) Engineering, have a technical or IT-related degree or equivalent
  • High comfort level with software and technology in general
  • Excellent social, team-work, communication and self-management skills
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures, anatomy and medical terminology preferred
  • Excitement for leading edge technologies like 5G and Mixed Reality
  • Experience in a technical or clinical support role for a healthcare company is a plus
  • Fluent in German and English
