Job Description
As a Project Manager in the Brainlab R&D Instruments department, you will be part of an international, multidisciplinary and highly skilled team, responsible for a wide range of instruments and accessories that are used in various clinical use cases.
Your work includes the management of different projects and you will be responsible for ensuring that our medical devices stay ahead of the competition. Your contribution has an impact on daily work in hospitals around the world.
Your areas of responsibility include:
- Project management of development projects within the Instruments team with a focus on Medical Electrical Devices as well as Cranial/ENT & CMF Instruments
- Collaborate successfully with external development partners, suppliers and internal stakeholders such as quality management and general management
- Proactively manage project risks, timelines and strategy
- Support the definition of product requirements in close cooperation with product management
- Ensure that our medical devices fulfill all national and international statutory and normative requirements
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills including close collaboration with team members and stakeholders outside of the organization
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and motivate cross-functional project teams in the medical device industry
- Experience with the regulatory requirements related to (medical electrical) device development (IEC 60601-1 would be a plus)
- Strong technical skills and ability to interact both with engineering colleagues on details as well as with upper management on top-level goals
- University degree preferably in biomechatronic, mechanical, biomedical or medical engineering
- Experience with the development of medical electrical devices is a plus
- Fluent written and spoken English, German is a plus
