Our R&D team in Munich is looking for a (Senior) Manager R&D to drive our efforts in intra-operative imaging. You will lead a newly established team with the focus of using ultrasound during surgical and interventional procedures.
Your work includes the complete development cycle of medical devices, from the inception of new concepts over to their implementation up to the clinical assessment of the performance of the resulting device.
Your contribution has an impact on daily work in hospitals around the world.
As we are planning to leverage the momentum in modern ultrasound technologies, business development with external partners as well as research in the technical domain will play a key role. The mapping of technical options to clinical indications is important – especially for visceral and abdominal interventions. This includes discussions with clinical experts on the future potential of ultrasound for their surgical and interventional procedures.
Finally, we are building a new team and just started hiring software and project engineers. Developing, guiding and motivating this new team will be an important part of your role.
You will report to the Vice President R&D.
The role is based at Brainlab Headquarters in Munich.
