Job Description
For our growing R&D Joint Reconstruction Division at Brainlab we are looking for a new (Advanced) Project Engineer. You will be part of a growing and motivated team that enables novel surgical procedures in the field of orthopedics and sports medicine. Your work includes the complete development cycle of medical devices, from the inception of new concepts over to their implementation up to the clinical assessment of the performance of the resulting device. Your contribution has an impact on daily work in hospitals around the world.
Your tasks include:
- Development of medical components for orthopedic and sports medicine applications
- Clinical evaluation & validation
- Communication with suppliers, development partners, manufacturers and other internal teams (QM, QA, Usability, Purchasing, Legal)
- Full responsibility within a defined project
- Identification, establishment and drive of cooperation with international external partners on system, component and service level
- Performance and/or coordination of functional tests of medical devices
- Creation of complete technical documentation according to international and company standards
- Maintenance activities for documentation of existing medical products
Qualifications
- Education in Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent working experience
- Experience with technical documentation for medical devices
- Clinical knowledge in areas of orthopedic procedures
- Fluent written and spoken English, German is a strong plus
- Well organized and clearly structured working style
- High documentation quality standards
- Good communication skills
