Job Description
Are you a strategic and customer-focused Product Manager with a passion for advancing clinical solutions? We are seeking a skilled (Senior) Product Manager - Microscope Navigation to lead the development, launch, and lifecycle of our Microscope Navigation product.
In this role, you will immerse yourself in customer feedback, work closely with clinical experts, and align with cross-functional teams to bring market-leading solutions to life. You will be responsible for overseeing the product’s entire journey—from initial ideation and specification through launch and beyond—ensuring it meets the needs of customers and drives real clinical impact.
Key responsibilities:
- Drive product success across all phases of the product lifecycle by delivering ongoing optimizations and enhancements, and by initiating, monitoring, and conducting clinical studies for the assigned product portfolio.
- Evaluate business opportunities and prioritize product scope in alignment with clinical needs, ensuring technical feasibility and market impact, while tracking global sales performance and identifying areas for improvement.
- Take ownership of the product offering by managing article structure, pricing, and detailed product information.
- Analyze, document, and communicate competitor activities and products; compile market requirements and knock-out specs including serviceability and producibility requirements.
- Lead and manage product launch activities to ensure optimal knowledge transfer to internal stakeholders and enable meaningful customer engagement at every stage.
- Actively gather and analyze feedback from customers, sales and service teams, and market data to guide product improvements and elevate customer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain a strong technical understanding of Microscope Navigation and internal demo setups to ensure technical credibility.
- Communicate clearly and directly with Sales, aligning on strategy and roadmap, providing guidance, and confidently maintaining prioritization based on clinical needs and technical constraints.
- Support customer visits at headquarters with presentations and in-depth product demos.
- Develop marketing programs and strategic initiatives with the Product Marketing Manager to strengthen visibility and adoption.
- Orchestrate, create, review, and maintain marketing collaterals with the Product Marketing Manager
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years in Product Management, or a similar role, ideally within healthcare, augmented or mixed reality visualization areas.
- University degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong strategic and entrepreneurial thinking, with expertise in scope management, evaluation of business opportunities, prioritization, and defining specifications to balance clinical and technical requirements.
- Confident, structured communicator with the ability to defend prioritization decisions and guide stakeholders toward strategic alignment.
- Strong technical affinity with complex hardware–software systems, preferably surgical microscopes or navigation devices.
- Demonstrated ability to work in O.R. environments and interact confidently with surgeons and clinical staff.
- Ability to foster and motivate effective collaboration between R&D, Sales, and Clinical teams.
- Ability to translate complex contexts and solutions into clear and concise visions and actionable strategies.
- Proven organizational skills and the ability to manage complex operational and project-based tasks.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and presentation skills in both English and German, capable of driving cross-functional collaboration and effective stakeholder engagement.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Munich; willingness for up to 20% travel.
