WSSFN 2019
18th Biennial Meeting of the World Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery

ABOUT WSSFN 2019
The theme of this year’s 18th Quadrennial Meeting of the World Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery is “Opportunities and Controversies”.
ADVANCEMENTS IN STEREOTAXY
Elements in Stereotaxy
Discover the advanced next generation of Elements Stereotaxy with an all new view layout for highly efficient pre-operative stereotactic planning. This software enables AC/PC-based trajectory planning and arc localization with integrated stereotactic frames, including the new Leksell® Vantage™ Stereotactic System from Elekta (CT & MR based). The DICOM burned-in export functionality allows interaction with 3rd party software solutions.
The Elements workflow combines patient-specific Anatomical Mapping, Fibertracking and 3D trajectories with Boston Scientific DBS lead models.
Elements Lead Localization
With Elements Lead Localization, the stereotactic procedure extends beyond pre-op planning and continues after surgery. DBS leads are automatically detected in CT scans with contacts visualized in relation to the patient’s anatomy, supporting more straightforward programming.
Partners
Brainlab works closely with two key partners in functional neurosurgery: Elekta and Boston Scientific. Together, we offer three powerful and innovative solutions to improve and expedite the stereotactic workflow for deep brain stimulation (DBS) procedures—from pre-case planning with Brainlab Elements to surgery with Elekta stereotactic frames to implantation of Boston Scientific devices.
