Director Marketing FSN / DBS

What to expect

Brainlab is looking for an experienced and motivated Director of Marketing for Functional and Stereotactic Neurosurgery. The role has currently a team of 2 product managers, reports to the VP Marketing Surgery Business Global and works in close collaboration with the R&D Director of Functional and Stereotactic Neurosurgery. The role is based at Brainlab Headquarters.

In this role your main tasks will be:

  • Model and accept responsibility for market segments and growth (business model)
  • Represent Brainlab at scientific conferences related to functional and stereotactic products
  • Challenge regional sales plans against target segment models
  • Identify clinical tasks, challenges and benefits, and financial drivers
  • Define product messaging (USPs, price, target customers)
  • Define scope of clinical collaborations based on desired claims
  • Prototype, document, and teach sales process by product
  • Optimize and regionalize sales process by working with field sales
  • Monitor and adjust sales messaging by working with field sales
  • Identify need for marketing collateral (brochures, videos, white-papers)
  • Propose and review with R&D and support high-level product roadmap
  • Define profile for and approve cooperation/reference sites
  • Manage established partner-companies

What you offer

You have a passion for delivering highly technical solutions to your customers and strong leadership skills that help in leading and motivating a team. In your previous roles you have demonstrated an ability to professionally represent your company and products to key scientific and clinical customers and business partners.

In addition you also have:

  • A degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Neuroscience
  • Previous Sales, Marketing or Product Management experience in functional and stereotactic neurosurgery or related fields
  • Established own network to KOLs in the field of functional and stereotactic neurosurgery
  • An analytical, assertive, decisive and committed personality with an outgoing nature and strong interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of medical device business and technology
  • A passion for technical products and technological advancements
  • Excellent communication and oral presentation skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken in English
  • A willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
