American Society for Radiation Oncology Annual Meeting (ASTRO)
San Francisco | Sept 14-17 | Moscone Center | Booth #1328
What´s new at ASTRO Annual Meeting 2014 in San Francisco
The 2014 American Society for Radiation Oncology Annual Meeting is a premier radiation oncology scientific event bringing together more than 10,000 attendees from all over the world.
This year the meeting focuses on, Targeting Cancer: Technology and Biology, a topic which Brainlab exemplifies with the radiotherapy and radiosurgery products which will be shown at ASTRO Booth #1328.
Brainlab Innovation in RT Technology and Beyond
Brainlab is proud to showcase our latest software applications to help streamline and expedite the radiotherapy planning process.
Automatic Brain Metastases Planning*, part of Brainlab Elements, enables monitor-unit and time efficient radiosurgery for brain metastases while minimizing dose to normal brain tissue and providing new treatment possibilities for larger volumes and higher numbers of metastases. This highly intuitive software tool can be used in conjunction with ExacTrac® 6D Patient Positioning and Monitoring System to ensure optimal patient setup.
The Adaptive Hybrid Surgery Analysis* Element offers the opportunity to combine the best of surgery with the best of radiosurgery. Dedicated to multi-modality treatment of benign skull base tumors, the software displays a radiosurgery feasibility analysis for a given tumor residual, therefore augmenting interdisciplinary tumor board discussions and helping to establish the perfect crossing point between surgery and radiosurgery.
The Novalis Certification Program promotes the independent external review of specialized procedures and workflows as well as the collaborative approach necessary for high precision radiation oncology treatments. An onsite review provides an in-depth analysis of the center’s clinical capabilities and highest standards in treatment delivery, promoting long-term value.
Brainlab invites you to meet world-renowned clinicians who will present the latest technologies and techniques in the treatment of brain metastases. The Vero® SBRT system will be on display with a full size model, showcasing its imaging and positioning capabilities including integrated Cone Beam CT, stereo fluoroscopy, as well as unique Dynamic Tumor Tracking.
The sub-millimeter targeting accuracy, advanced imaging system and freedom of motion enables new treatment techniques with Vero. To register and learn more about the Vero SBRT Presentation, please click here.
