REACH SVHC Statement

Per the registration Evaluation and Authorization of Chemicals Regulation (EC Regulation 1907/2006), Brainlab discloses that the products listed below contain lead titanium zirconium oxide (Pbx Tiy Zrz O3; CAS 12626-81-2), also known as PZT, a substance included in the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) Candidate List, at or greater than 0.1% (weight by weight):

Polaris Spectra Camera – Article numbers 15000-25D, 15000-26B, 15000-27B, 15000-28

Below please find a list of product names (indicated on the respective System Labels) that use Polaris Spectra as a component:

 

In these articles, PZT exists as a ceramic used as a component in piezoelectric shock sensors. It presents no hazard to humans or the environment under normal handling and use.

Other Brainlab products do not contain reportable SVHC as defined in Article 33 (1) & (2) “Substances of Very High Concern” EC Title VII, Chapter 1 Article 57 and periodically revised.

In addition, Brainlab complies with the restrictions stated in Annex XVII of REACH.
