AAHKS Industry Symposia
Mark Clatworthy, MD will present his Anatomic Tibia First, Balanced Femur Approach in Total Knee Arthroplasty using Brainlab KNEE3 Navigation Software. With his technique of cutting the tibia anatomically and placing the femoral implant according to the patient-specific soft-tissue, reduced number of releases, increased functional outcomes and higher patient satisfaction have been shown in the NZ Joint Registry.
Participants will experience KNEE3 the enabling technology that emphasizes patient specific soft-tissue alignment while maintaining and verifying mechanical alignment boundaries.

Computer-Assisted Anatomic Alignment
Mark Clatworthy, MD is an orthopaedic knee surgeon from Auckland, New Zealand with 14 years of experience in software-guided surgery. He was an early adopter of Brainlab knee navigation and started using it in 2004. Since then he routinely used this technique while performing over 2000 navigated TKAs.
