The Premier Conference on Managing Today's OR Suite
What’s new at the OR Manager Conference 2018?
Every year, more than 1,400 managers and directors involved in leading the surgical suite meet for continuing education and to learn about innovations and trends in the medical sector at the OR Manager Conference. TRANSFORMING DIGITALIZATION AT THE OR MANAGER CONFERENCE 2018
Experience the advances in OR digitalization and see which technology advances are coming to stay.
With a growing amount of technology and data coming into the O.R., it is more essential than ever to build a solid foundation to manage all this in the operating room. With more than 1.000 O.R.s digitized worldwide, Brainlab shows at the O.R. Manager conference the latest advances and best-practices to streamline the whole O.R. workflow and free up the surgical team to allow them to achieve improved clinical outcomes, making use of state-of-the-art technology such as 4k visualization and recording.
DIGITAL O.R. INTEGRATION WORKFLOW – SAVE TIME BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER SURGERY
On average, 26 minutes a day are wasted searching for patient data1 and more than 40% of physician’s working time is dedicated to documentation2. Furthermore, only 25% of hospitals can find, send, receive and use electronic information31 and most O.R.s lack a high-level overview of all available patient information, making O.R.s inefficient, overcrowded, and less safe4. Addressing these inefficiencies is one of the top priorities of Brainlab Digital O.R. We strive to streamline, simplify and consolidate this influx of data to free up time not only for the surgeon, but the entire surgical team.
At this year’s OR Manager Conference, Brainlab presents its newest advancements streamlining your O.R. workflow before, during and after surgery. Highlights include simple pre-op planning with Elements, our advanced clinical software, sleek hospital IT integration with automatic patient data prefetching in the O.R. and surgeon presets, communication tools, and intra- and post-op surgical documentation.

DIGITAL DATA ROUNDTRIP: LEVERAGING YOUR IT INFRASTRUCTURE – EPIC, CERNER, PACS
With our vast experience in hospital IT integration of video sources, hardware and software, and patient data management, Brainlab helps you leverage your existing IT technology with simplified infrastructure, bringing value to the surgical and IT teams.
Before the case, patient data and presets are automatically prefetched from the PACS and HIS systems. After the procedure, operating room documentation is automatically transferred to the preferred picture archive or storage location (PACS, HIS, VNA, USB drive) and is accessible immediately on any client PC or connected iPad through the hospital HIS for review or patient consultation.
DICOM surgical recordings can be saved in a temporary scalable storage server until they are edited on-the-go with the new Brainlab Video Editor, ensuring only the most relevant data is stored on the patient record in the HIS or downloadable in MP4 format.
