ISRS 2017

International Stereotactic Radiosurgery Society (ISRS) 13th Biennial Congress and Exhibition 2017

AAPM 2017

About ISRS 2017

For the last 25 years, the International Stereotactic Radiosurgery Society (ISRS) has striven to develop and advance radiosurgery worldwide across various disciplines such as neurosurgery, radiation oncology and medical physics.

During the 13th Biennial Congress and Exhibition taking place in Montreux, Switzerland, the most experienced radiation oncologists and physicists practicing stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) will share the latest updates in the field.

Brainlab, as a leading innovator in the field of radiosurgery and neurosurgery, aligns with this interdisciplinary focus by showcasing our latest developments—indication-specific Elements software applications—for cranial, spine and multiple brain metastases treatments, including powerful contouring and outlining tools  and neurosurgical integration applications.

Brainlab will also be hosting a Novalis Circle Lunch Symposium on Stereotactic Radiosurgery for Brain Metastases on Wednesday, May 31st at 12:45.
Meet renowned clinicians who will present the latest technologies and techniques in the treatment of brain metastases.

At this year’s ISRS, Brainlab will be featuring its broad range of Elements indication-specific software applications for cranial, spine and multiple brain metastases SRS. All Elements are designed to streamline and expedite the treatment planning process and include intelligent contouring and fusion tools to facilitate rapid and comprehensive workflows.

While every Elements software has the shared goals of quick planning, sparing organs at risk, and creating highly conformal doses, each is specifically targeted.

Cranial SRS*optimizes planning with an integrated 4π algorithm for patient-tailored treatments.

Spine SRS* is fully focused on important dose falloff along specific vertebrae for enhanced spinal cord sparing.

Multiple Brain Mets SRS makes possible the simultaneous delivery of single-session treatments for multiple metastases.

For neurosurgical integration Adaptive Hybrid Surgery is dedicated to multi-modality treatment of benign skull base tumors and helps to balance surgical risk with radiosurgical toxicity.

All Elements can be used with ExacTrac Patient Positioning and Monitoring system, which provides continual intrafractional monitoring with sub-millimetric delivery precision.

DECISION-MAKING TRAMs — Treatment Response Assessment Maps

TRAMs* —Treatment Response Assessment Maps, a methodology developed in collaboration with Sheba Medical Center in Tel Aviv, uses MR images to differentiate tumor progression from treatment effects in most cranial tumor patients.

Intuitive to learn and use, Contouring Elements are pre-planning tools optimized and tailored for physicians. These applications can used individually and provide unique MR-based automatic segmentation that processes multiple MR sequences.

Among the Contouring Elements are Cranial Distortion Correction* for dataset co-registration utilizing Image Fusion, Smartbrush for delineation of tumors, and Anatomical Mapping for the labeling of all tissue classes to identify organs at risk.

Generated structures and image information can be exported to 3rd party RT applications.

Novalis Certified promotes high standards in SRS and SBRT by helping to ensure delivery at a level of efficacy and safety that corresponds with best practice clinical workflows.

Created under advisement of the Novalis Expert Panel, the Novalis Certified program augments other available accreditation programs with its dedicated aim of ensuring consistent excellence in SRS and SBRT.

Come by booth #10 for hands-on demonstrations and to explore our entire range of radiosurgery products.

See you at ISRS 2017 in Montreux!

*CE certified, FDA clearance pending.
