WHAT’S NEW AT 2015 SBNS SPRING MEETING IN SOUTHAMPTON
Southampton General Hospital is hosting the SBNS Spring Meeting in Southampton. The venue for the conference is Southampton Football Ground and Conference Centre. The stadium is one of the most versatile and high profile venues in Southampton, providing modern conference facilities with large plenary rooms for the presentations and a fantastic exhibition space. This year the SBNS is a joint meeting with the German Society of Neurosurgery (DGNC – Deutsche Gesellschaft für Neurochirurgie).
There will be a full and varied Academic Programme planned. The Sub-specialty Group joining the meeting is the British Paediatric Neurosurgical Group (BPNG) and they will be holding their meeting on Tuesday 21st April. The Life Long Learning Session, which is traditionally held on the Wednesday morning prior to the start of the meeting, will be on Skull Base Neurosurgery. There will also be three guest lectures, one of which will be delivered by Professor Dr. Johannes Schramm from the invited guest Society in Germany on the topic of Epilepsy.
BRAINLAB INNOVATION IN NEUROSURGERY TECHNOLOGY AND BEYOND
Experience the latest in CT imaging, Airo® Mobile Intraoperative CT, a system designed to function inside existing OR suites. Airo is ideal for cranial, spine and trauma procedures, making it a highly versatile intraoperative imaging system. High CT image quality increases surgeon confidence and supports advanced minimally invasive surgery.
Brainlab booth will also feature IGS platform Kick® Surgical Navigation.
Kick is our powerful and portable surgical navigation system. Kick may be small in size but not in capability and features intuitive, patient-centric software for assistance during both the pre-planning phase and the procedure.
When Kick is paired with Brainlab Buzz, both systems act as one. This allows the user to store all patient information in one location. Whether it is patient data, pictures or videos, there is no longer a need to load or store data in different locations.
Brainlab Elements showcase a new level of ease for neurosurgery and radiosurgery planning. Brainlab Elements software applications bring instant access to a suite of planning solutions that work seamlessly together, delivering capability without complexity.
