Pride Month at Brainlab 2024

Pride Month is dedicated to bringing awareness to, celebrating and supporting the LGBTQ+ community around the world.

Since there are still many countries that actively disenfranchise and discriminate against the LGBTQ+ community, Brainlab has decided to donate 25,000 USD – representing our 2,500 employees – to the African Human Rights Coalition (AHRC). This organization provides humanitarian aid, protection and support for people from the LGBTQ+ community in African countries who are forcibly displaced and persecuted.

The artist Leilah Babirye, whose artworks are part of the exhibition “I Can’t Breathe” (https://www.brainlab-culture-program.com/en/exhibitions/i-cant-breathe) at Brainlab headquarters, received assistance from the AHRC. The organization helped her to emigrate to the US after the media outed her in her home country of Uganda. Babirye transforms everyday materials into works of art that address issues of identity, sexuality and human rights.

At Brainlab, diversity, inclusion, acceptance and equality are embraced throughout the entire company. The Brainlab Tower is lit up in rainbow colors during Pride Month in June to set an example and symbolize our commitment to these values.
