Optimize Planning Processes for Cranial and Spinal Indications

September 29, 2016

VISIT BRAINLAB AT SFRO 2016

Brainlab will be showcasing the new Elements Cranial and Spine SRS software at this year’s Annual Congress of the French Society of Radiation Oncology (SFRO) in Paris. Elements Cranial SRS* a unique application that optimizes the treatment planning process for various cranial indications. With the implementation of a 4π algorithm into the software, Brainlab Elements are now set to become even more intelligent and efficient and enable patient tailored, optimized treatment trajectories aimed at minimizing radiation dose to organs at risk without compromising target coverage or treatment times. To achieve a highly conformal dose for spine with excellent planning metrics, the algorithm of the new Elements Spine SRS internally breaks down planning target volumes into a number of smaller targets. Consequently, the dose to the spinal cord can be minimized and, in doing so, potentially improve patient outcome. The complete Elements portfolio also includes Multiple Brain Mets SRS for consistent treatment plans for up to 10 brain metastases, enabling monitor-unit and time efficient radiosurgery and hypo-fractionated treatments and minimizing dose to normal brain tissue. We look forward to giving you a live software demonstration of these latest Elements at SFRO booth #25. *Works in progress
