Successful First Treatment on Versa HD™ with Fully Integrated ExacTrac

Brainlab announced successful patient treatments on a fully integrated radiation oncology solution that combines the imaging power of ExacTrac X-Ray patient positioning with the delivery precision of the Elekta Versa HD™. The seamless workflow of the two systems is in routine clinical use at Ludwig-Maximilian University Hospital in Munich, which is ranked among the top five medical institutions in Europe. The hospital has now treated 12 patients with a range of indications and has plans to expand their ExacTrac/Versa HD program. Used to perform frameless stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) procedures, the integrated ExacTrac/Versa HD solution provides patients with improved positioning and treatment accuracy.
