ExacTrac Dynamic for Spine RadiosurgeryProtect the cord, deliver with confidence

Discover more

ExacTrac Dynamic enables you to perform spine radiosurgery with submillimetric accuracy. Seamlessly integrate image guided radiation therapy (IGRT) for both positioning and intrafraction verification during beam-on. This enables highly hypofractionated treatments and can reduce overall treatment time.

Achieve submillimetric accuracy for spine radiosurgery

Monitor patient position continuously and detect any intrafraction motion with submillimetric accuracy. The system ensures that the target remains within the treatment field throughout each fraction, enabling efficient high-dose delivery while minimizing dose to the spinal cord.

Monitor the internal anatomy without beam interruption

Facilitate the capture of internal anatomy via fast and low-dose x-ray imaging at any point of treatment without interrupting the beam. If motion is detected, the system triggers instant beam hold and correction of patient position in 6 degrees of freedom (6DoF).

Visualize relevant anatomy to validate your treatment site

Capture internal patient anatomy with stereoscopic x-ray images to verify the position of the target during positioning and monitoring. The flat panel size allows you to capture all relevant anatomy needed for reliable automatic fusion and straightforward validation.

Large field of view at isocenter

The system’s large flat panels—18 cm x 18 cm field of view (FOV) at isocenter—allow you to visualize multiple vertebrae and achieve accurate fusion with digitally reconstructed radiographs (DRR). With intuitive fusion tools like crosshair and rubber band snap-back functionality, you’re able to verify the fusion process with confidence.

Frequent internal anatomy verification

ExacTrac Dynamic ensures highly accurate and frequent intrafraction internal anatomy verification, addressing concerns such as patient movement and helping avoid dose to critical structures. When deviations are detected, automatic beam hold allows for patient position correction, while maintaining margins and avoiding dose to the spinal cord.

Deep linac integration and interoperability

ExacTrac Dynamic is highly integrated with market leading linear accelerators, enabling advanced automation features. These include automated patient plan loading, beam holds triggered by predefined surface and x-ray tolerances, and position correction in 6DoF. Additionally, x-ray acquisitions can be triggered based on specific gantry angles or monitor-unit intervals.
