Preparation Course Radiosurgery – Physics & QA (Remote)
Online training designed primarily for medical physicists and dosimetrists to facilitate the commissioning and clinical validation process of Brainlab radiosurgery treatment planning.
This course has applied to CAMPEP for approval of 5 MPCEC hours.
Target Audience
The Brainlab Academy: Preparation Course Radiosurgery – Physics and QA is tailored primarily to medical physicists and dosimetrists. All other staff involved in the commissioning, validation and quality assurance process of stereotactic radiosurgery are welcome as well.
Prerequisites
The Brainlab Academy: Prep Course Radiosurgery – Physics and QA is designed for medical physicists and dosimetrists to facilitate the commissioning and clinical validation process of Brainlab RT Elements. Fundamental knowledge of medical physics and dosimetry are needed.
Objectives
This 2 x 4 hours remote course will provide participants the opportunity to obtain the necessary knowledge to commission the RT Elements treatment planning system and bring the technology into clinical routine.
Format
Experienced clinical medical physicist will guide participants through the commissioning process and share experiences
Subject matter expert from the Brainlab physics team will provide insights into the different calculation algorithms, creation of machine profiles, reference beam models and HU to ED tables
Certified instructor will accommodate software demonstrations for beam data verification, recalculation and quality assurance with RT Elements
Tuition, certificate of attendance, recording, training material and additional resources

English is the official language for all Brainlab Academy courses. German and French courses are also available upon request.

The course will be held remotely via Microsoft Teams.
Who will the instructors be?
The course will be led by an experienced medical physicist, a subject matter expert from the Brainlab physics team and a certified Brainlab instructor.
Will there be any credits for the attendance of this course?
This course has applied to CAMPEP for approval of 5 MPCEC hours.
What is the duration of the course?
The course will be held over 2 sessions of 4 hours.
Will I be able to ask questions during the course?
Yes, the course will be highly interactive, and our speakers will try to answer all questions from the audience.
Will I get a certificate of attendance after course completion?
Yes, you will receive a certificate following the completion of the course.
