Manager Cybersecurity - Medical Devices

What to expect

Since several years, cybersecurity threats are among the most critical risks for the ever-growing digitization/mechanization of our modern world. This does not stop when looking at medical devices – nowadays, they more and more often completely rely on the underlying digital infrastructure like computer networks, which is why well-architected cybersecurity concepts are essential. Like for the clinical treatments themselves, Brainlab will excel in protection of its devices and we want you to play an essential role in this journey.

As "Manager Cybersecurity - Medical Devices" you are an expert in conception and technical implementation of cybersecurity measures such as encryption, vulnerability testing and data integrity management on medical device level. Together with Brainlab departments in IT, Quality Management, Regulatory Affairs and RnD (HW and Software Development), you interpret external standards and regulation and are responsible for tailoring and implementing the technical aspects on device level in our medical products. Your responsibilities will be:

  • translation of external requirements to product and quality assurance specifications
  • guidance and support for the creation and maintenance of comprehensive cybersecurity concepts for Brainlab devices
  • actual work/testing in pilot projects
  • definition and documentation according to internal procedures
  • driving Brainlab divisions in the implementation of such procedures
  • sharing of technical expertise informally and in a consulting role
  • organization and execution of formal training lessons for internal colleagues

What you offer

  • extensive knowledge and professional experience (5y) in cybersecurity matters as defined in e.g. NIST SP 800-53, ISO 80001, ISO 27001
  • degree in computer sciences or engineering preferred, other degrees may be considered
