Intraoperative neuromonitoring for ENT and OM surgery

Due to its role in regulating facial expressions and movements, monitoring the facial nerve has become a vital part of modern ENT surgery. Procedures like parotid gland surgery, middle ear surgery, neck dissection, etc., can pose a risk to the facial nerve branches as they traverse through multiple narrow anatomical structures.

Intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM) with AVALANCHE® SI 2 by Langer Medical, a Brainlab Company allows surgeons to detect potential nerve damage early and respond immediately, which can reduce the risk of post-operative complications for the patient.
