Beyond Holy Night 2024

How time flies! For the third year, Brainlab is celebrating the holiday season with a special Christmas concert featuring the Opernstudio of the Bayerische Staatsoper and the Bayerische Staatsorchester’s Hermann Levi Academy. There won’t be a pine tree or a strand of tinsel in sight, but guests will enjoy festive drinks and a delightful evening of seasonal music, all included in the ticket price. 

The concert will showcase talented young artists from the Opernstudio of the Bayerische Staatsoper and musicians from the Hermann Levi Academy, directed by Catharina von Bülow. Video art by Manuela Hartel will add a vivid visual experience to the performance, creating a vibrant and immersive atmosphere.  

The program includes selections from Johann Sebastian Bach’s Christmas Oratorio and George Frideric Handel’s Messiah (in the original English), French pieces by Charles Gounod (Repentir) and César Franck (Panis Angelicus), excerpts from Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite, and a specially arranged medley of Christmas carols. 

It’s a celebration of the season that truly goes, as the title suggests, Beyond Holy Night.
