With the Brainlab Culture Program, we bridge our high-tech foundation with social responsibility in the areas of art and culture—initiating projects with creative personalities and institutions in the art and culture scenes. Our objective is to promote personal and thematic collaboration between our company and creative players, artistic excellence and innovative institutions. We also aim to encourage viewers to reflect and step out of their comfort zones.

Every Friday, starting from October 1st, 2022, the contemporary visual art exhibition, “I Can’t Breathe,” which is part of the Brainlab Culture Program at the Brainlab headquarters, will be open to the public. Admission is free of charge, but registration is mandatory. The exhibition will end on February 28th, 2023.

“I Can’t Breathe” is synonymous with physical violence, denying the right to breathe and thus, to live. Reflecting on the circumstances of people of African descent, the exhibition explores space: the space for personal development and breathing, literally and figuratively, access to resources, but also the space these artists occupy in art history and the art market. In this exhibition, art from Africa and the African diaspora is offered the space to process experiences of violence from the time of slavery through civil wars to the present day and, in the form of everyday scenes, to express the longing for social equality. Works with feminist connotations represent an important segment of the collection.
