Supporting World Cancer Day
BRAINLAB JOINS WORLD CANCER DAY 2016
Join Brainlab this February 4th in honoring World Cancer Day 2016. This year kicks off the ‘We Can. I Can.’ Campaign exploring how everyone – either together or as individuals – can do their part to reduce the global burden of cancer. According to the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), the global cancer epidemic is significant and is set to rise. Currently, there are 8.2 million cancer deaths per year worldwide, almost half of which are patients aged 30 to 69. The global occurrence is expected to rise to 13.2 million per year by 2030 with global cost of care estimated at $458 billion.¹²³ Thanks to clinicians like you and our ongoing technological advancements, like Adaptive Hybrid Surgery and Multiple Brain Metastases SRS, we are working together to reduce the impact that cancer has on patients, their families and their communities. To demonstrate our solidarity with the World Cancer Day campaign, Brainlab released a video in which our employees share how they positively impact cancer.
