Munich Philharmonic Orchestra “Impossible Hearing” at Brainlab
Munich Philharmonic Orchestra “Impossible Hearing” at Brainlab
On Saturday, June 18, 2022, at 7:30 PM, the concert titled, “The Impossible Hearing,” will be the kick-off event for the new cultural partnership between Brainlab and the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra. During this special concert, the spatial dimension of hearing will be presented in a completely new format.
The event will take place in the atrium of the Brainlab headquarters which is acoustically and architecturally ideal for staging concerts in formats different to those presented on traditional stages.
The special feature of the concert is a red-clad “avatar” with a binaural microphone in its ears which will enable “natural three-dimensional hearing.” All audience members will be equipped with headphones that receive audio signals in real time. In this way, the “impossible hearing” becomes possible: you can hear sound through another person’s ears.
