Brainlab Assembles Leading Experts from Across the Globe to Address Challenges in Radiation Oncology and Neurosurgery Cancer Treatments
Sixth International Conference of the Novalis Circle to Focus on Improving Clinical Outcomes of Brain and Spine Radiosurgery
On February 19th–20th, international experts in radiation oncology and neurosurgery will come together for the Sixth International Conference of the Novalis Circle in Munich sponsored by global medical technology leader, Brainlab. The conference will serve as a forum for a cross-functional community, including radiation oncology and neurosurgery, to strategically address timely topics surrounding brain and spine cancer disease management.
Conference participants will focus on stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) for brain and spine across multidisciplinary cancer teams. Practice-oriented presentations and panel discussions revolve around five main clinical treatment areas: brain metastases, primary benign tumors, vascular malformations, spine tumors and new radiosurgery technologies. A total of 30 SRS and SBRT experts will present, including Douglas Kondziolka, MD, Jörg-Christian Tonn, MD, Reinhard Wurm, MD, Mark H. Bilsky, MD, and Timothy D. Solberg, PhD.
“We have created a profoundly interesting, relevant agenda for this year’s Novalis Circle that promises to address the most pressing questions in the modern management of brain and spine radiosurgery,” said Stefan Vilsmeier, President and CEO of Brainlab. “With hundreds of accomplished clinicians and researchers working together, the conference opens new opportunities to fully harness the potential of SRS and SBRT technology as well as offering comprehensive and up-to-date treatment concepts now and in the future.”
