DLD Conference 2019 in Munich: Brainlab Shows How Artificial Intelligence Opens New Dimensions in Medicine

January 18, 2019

Burda Media Group regularly invites experts from industry, science and politics to speak and discuss the digital future at the firmly established Digital, Life, Design (DLD) Conference. The theme of the 15th conference, taking place January 19 – 21, 2019 in Munich, is “Optimism & Courage”. Interest is great with more than 1000 invited guests expected to follow lectures given by 150 speakers. The keynote will be held by Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook COO.

Stefan Vilsmeier, founder and CEO of Brainlab, will take the stage at 4:30 pm on Saturday, January 19th. Together with Chief Content Officer of Magic Leap, Rio Caraeff, the panel will address the hotly-debated topic of how augmented reality – or “spatial computing” as Magic Leap refers to their applications – will change the world: “Merging The Artificial World With Reality

Vilsmeier believes: “Digitalization, artificial intelligence and spatial computing are key technologies to improve the quality of healthcare, while reducing costs.”

Brainlab is offering visitors of the DLD Summit 2019 the opportunity to experience the future of surgery and the world of spatial computing in partnership with Magic Leap. Experience how virtual and real worlds merge, enabling you to walk around inside a patient’s head and explore the anatomical details of a human brain.
